Remote Weddings...

Couples wanting to be married in North Sebago, Maine and residing elsewhere (in Maine or other states) may request information about “remote weddings.” Initial contact must be made with Reverend DanaBeth Wells-Goodwin to set the date and reserve the North Sebago United Methodist Church for a wedding. The couple must secure a Maine marriage license from any town office in Maine.

Pre-marital counseling may be done by your local clergy or through your local church where you live. Contact must be established with Rev. A booklet of liturgical resources is available to assist couples in creating the wedding ceremony. The booklet will be mailed out with complete instructions and must be returned prior to the wedding.

The church sanctuary will be available, for a nominal user fee. The date and time must be scheduled by contacting Rev. Wells-Goodwin. Sanctuary will seat about 85 people. The attached Vestry will seat about 85 people also. Kitchen facilities are located on site and may be used, with permission for a nominal fee. Weddings may be preformed outside of the church building at the approval of Rev. Wells-Goodwin. Outdoor weddings need to reserve an alternative setting in case of inclement weather.
